EP Equipment & SHS Dealer Day UK
As most days this year, the day of the 24. July was boiling hot, when EP Equipment and SHS Handling invited 15 selected dealers from all over the UK to join our Team in Brackley, Northamptonshire for the first UK dealer day. Product testing, networking and a large barbecue, prepared by the owners of SHS Handling made this first dealer day in the UK a huge success.
Our Hosts – SHS Handling
SHS Handling is a partner of EP Equipment since 2013 and has since grown their material handling business to over 1.000 trucks per year with a growth of over 40% per year. With a strong foothold in e-commerce and distribution logistics, SHS is a great partner to service key account customers as well as a growing dealer network all over the UK.
The target of this very first UK dealer day was to connect with other dealers, get to know new and established products and exchange best cases with fellow dealers.
The products – pallet trucks, stackers, order picker, counterbalance
At EP Equipment we strive to develop trucks that bring a revolution to the usage and application of a truck. During the dealer day, our partner could test different products at different performance levels in each truck category
Pallet trucks
Starting in 2012 with a very compact pallet truck, the EPT 20-15ET, we moved on creating the EPT 20-15EHJ a semi electric pallet truck at a weight of only 130Kg until we introduced the EPT 12EZ in 2016 – the world lightest and smallest full electric pallet truck. During our dealer day, our partners used the opportunity to find out, which truck from classical lead acid trucks to new generation Li-Ion equipment is best for each application.
Order picker
With the introduction of the JX1 order picker, EP Equipment quickly reacted to the fast growing E-Commerce driven change in order picking. Less picks per order and smal goods are the strength of EP. During the dealer day, we unveiled the all new JX0, a compact and extremly stable truck for occasional order picking or maintenance work in the warehouse. During the event, we discussed several customers who are desperately waiting for such a machine and organised first demonstrations at the same day.
After a long and exciting day, all of us have new ideas on product development, potential customers and projects, that we will realise as an even stronger team in the UK. A big thanks to all attendees and of course the team of SHS for making this day possible!
